childhood haunt

of all the places i roamed as a kid/teen, this is the one i look back on with the rosiest of tinted glasses.
endless summer days with friends that felt like family, sticky ice cream and the never-before-felt freedom of trips without parents.

i try to come back every summer;

more for the rush of nostalgia than the obligatory ice cream cone and dip in the sea. it's full of kids testing the boundaries of their new found independence like we used to. but if you catch a sunny day outside school holidays there really is no better place to reminisce with your pals.
